The two-page strategy document
Length is a poor proxy for rigour. The discipline of two pages forces the choices a hundred slides let you avoid.

We ask clients for a two-page strategy document. The reaction is consistent: first resistance, then relief.
What fits in two pages
A definition of where the company competes. A short list of what it will not do. The three moves that matter this year, each with a named owner. A statement of how success will be measured. That is the whole document.
Everything else is supporting material. Useful, but not the strategy.
